Even with its messed up gears, I took my BikeE on a 20-mile trip today. There were some hills that were a bit steep, and I was amazed that I was able to negotiate them, slowly and with some wobble, but I didn't have to walk.
Does the BikeE have a rep for being a good hill climber, or was it just me?

Recumbents, by their nature, are not the best hill climbers but I just spin a low gear. You need stamina to keep spinning that gear but it does work. It takes time to get the legs tuned but it is marvellous when you climb a hill that you thought was impossible. You get a great sense of achievement when you ride over the top and then, of course, you really fly on the BikeE.
