Front Disc

I have a FX that has a disc ready fork and a Hayes disc caliper/rotor. I am thinking of building up a new wheel to make this work. What is a good, (inexpensive), source for 16" rims and can I use a MTB disc hub?

I found inexpensive MTB hubs on ebay.
