Looking for disc brakes for bikee. would buy parts bike if necessary

Do your forks have the mounting brackets for disc brakes ??
If so, then you'll also need hubs drilled for the rotors
If you have both of those initial requirements, then you just purchase a disc brake kit, mount the rotors and calipers, run your cables [or tube, if you chose say a Hayes hydraulic set], mount you levers, then adjust [or bleed]
Hubs are a simple matter of buying another hub and having your rims mounted - a LBS can handle that easily
The Forks with brackets can be another another matter, although a shop could weld brackets on but you'd want to make sure they know what they're doing and get the alignment correct or it's useless
