I have bought 2 BikeE's in 2010....Both in good condition... A CT for $150 and an AT extended frame with original like new BikeE bag for $200 Update....Sold the CT for $225 so I figure I am now into the AT for only $125 ;-)

Bought another CT last fall for $130 and needed gear adjustment and brake pads. It is good as new and now is my "beater" I use my AT for 2 or 3 day rides with my modified Burly to haul camping gear

Because recumbents are really scarce in Northern Ireland, and BikeE's are only a very few (possibly only 2 in NI), then I'd hope to maintain £300 - £350 if I were to put my 2002 CT up for sale. My friend Kevin of DTEK in Thetford (a major source of recumbents in UK) also values the BikeE highly as a starter recumbent. And then there's the cost of shipping from UK mainland, about £50. To ship a bike from USA is hugely expensive, new US recumbents in UK have $ price = £price+, which makes them expensive considering 1$ = £0.61 roughly. So carriage gets to 39cents in the dollar! Over here we have no choice and a very small market, but set against the other US imports, or ones from Germany / EU, BikeE values remain high. I just wish I had time (and temperature) to get more use out of mine! This forum has been really quiet over the winter - just my two-pence worth to keep the resource alive! Happy bent grins to All! :-)
