I'm interested in making a light-weight trailer for my BikeE CT for hauling groceries home. My thinking is to drill a hole through the back of the frame and use a pin on the trailer tongue as a hitch. I'm also thinking of using PVC pipe for the trailer frame. Does anyone have suggestions or other experience that would be helpful? Many thanks, bob

Hi, I have a 2002 1/2 BikeE CT. I pull a Burley Solo trailer that I have adapted to take my puppy along. I was able to use the Burley Alternative Hitch without any modifications. The nut supplied is the same size as the rear axle nut on the BikeE. The "quick release" version will not work if you have an internal or Dual Drive hub. I can still use the kickstand too. Although it doesn't fully retract, it doesn't scrape on the ground either. Lots of people will tell you that you forgot to put up your kickstand. Riding a recumbent and pulling a little puppy sure gets a ton of attention ; ) Happy Riding Chris 2002 BikeE CT 1998 Lightning Stealth 2002 Burley Canto

Wike makes four different cargo trailers, www.wicycle.com/gcs.htm There hitch works perfectly on my CT. I have been using one of their kid trailers for two years. Worth the price for a great product. David

I have a single wheel Bob rear suspension trailer that I love. I was able to come up with a couple of carriage bolts, fender washers, lock nuts, some misc other hardware and just a tad of brazing and bolt the trailer hitch mounts to the swing arm holes just above the axle on my AT. Works great! The single wheel tracks with the bike so you don't have to worry about clipping a curb or pothole or fence.
