Has anyone looked into restarting the BikeE line of recumbents. I know Big Ha used to own it. I was wondering where it all stand now? Could it be revived?

Bob, some of the folks who used to run BikeE went on to start BigHa. When BikeE closed I was told by one of the management staff the brand was dead. I'm sure it could be started up again using the designs but the name would have to be changed as a lot of dealers were left holding the bag.

I know they started BigHa. I have to wonder how any of those 50 lb bikes they actually sell. I see them on eBay all the time. I seems that there is still a market for the BikeE with a very simple product line. It could be called BikeF or whatever. I wonder if the frame and seat jigs still exist anywhere out there? They were selling several thousand bikes a year. If it was a cottage industry several hundred a year would work. After all this is just a way to support my bent habit.

Somebody must still have the designs and jigs. I believe the frames were made in China in the later years. It would just be a matter of contacting the right person and having some capital. The design itself really works as being one of the most stable of recumbents. I would love to see BikeEs made again

I'll keep posting the idea on different recumbent forums and see what happens. You never know

I worked for BikeE as a welder (I did most of the aluminum welding that was done in the US). I know how the jigs were constructed (I modified and improved many of them) and could probably replicate them if people were to send in specific parts to be reverse-engineered.
Unfortunately, the man who sank BikeE would probably fight tooth-and-nail against anyone resurrecting that line of bikes because his little brain-child BigHa took a massive dump.......and he IS a massively egotistical and petty man.
