I have 2 AT's, a standard - US built, and a long - China built. Have had them about 5 years and wife and I put about 500 miles a year on them. Wife has recently moved to a trike (Terratrike Rover) which enables her to daydream and look around as she rides.
I also have an LWB Vision and a Bike Sat-R-Day (obviously bent poor!). Will probably try to find new owners for one of the E's and the Sat-R-Day as both are great bikes and deserve to be ridden.
For general riding the Bike E is the best bent ever made. It's my go to -- the store, newspaper stand, beach -- bike. Too bad someone hasn't purchased the rights and reintroduced them. Maybe, in the next economic revival.

I have had an NX since April 1999. I also have had road and mtn bikes. As I am now somewhat older (63) I only ride the BikeE. The only problem I have had is with the front disc brakes. The front began to lock up on me because the lever was sticking. I now ride with only the rear brakes. I ride very carefully as a result. Sure would like to find some cable operated replacements.

I love Bike E's and would produce an updated version while supporting the old ones as a service to the loyal owners... I have 20 Bike E's now and love to sell to people after doing a complete work over as needed. It is the best 1st recumbent or all around recumbent you can get even today! Ben 408-309-8182 benrsos@yahoo.com If you have bike E parts to sell I am your guy? Comments welcome..

I sold my 99 CT and a cobbled together BikeE-2 a few years ago. Now I'm in the process of buying a 2001 CT. Need a BikeE as a trail and "station wagon."

I just bought a very used FX last week and love it so far. I just noticed the lower rear shock mount is cracked so I will have to get that repaired before really starting to ride it. Can't wait.

Hi - New to the board as well in trade picked up a used BikeE with a custom fitted gas motor attached to the rear. I removed the gas motor (spindle on the tire type)- which still runs but needs a little tlc. Besides I'm into electric more than gas.
As far as the BikeE - it's in great shape - just a couple flats - which I'm on the net trying to find out the correct size of the tires since the bike shop said they didn't know for sure what it took. Hence I found this board.
I haven't a clue what version it is - didn't know there were so many. I'll have to take a snap and post it here in hopes someone can tell me what it is exactly.

Rode my first BikeE early in 1992. Bought the 3 x 7internal AT that spring. After about 10 years of riding the East slope of the Sierra, Santa Cruz/central coast, Torreon and Coste de Allegre Mexico I bought three more 'bents. I now have two in Kobe, Japan (willing to rent or sell) One in Chico, Calif (willing to rent or sell) Two in Mammoth Lakes, CA (Need to sell) An Ultimate Tandem combo 'bent/modified wedgie two seater in Ashland, Oregon. (need to sell)
I have ridden about 40 of the 47 Japanese prefectures and hope to ride Burma, Thailand, Cambodia in the next few years.

I've owned my bikeE for several years, just for fun. I bought it at a bike swap up in Alaska when we were stationed there about 8 years ago. It has been great but finding parts for it is impossible and I am a mother now, so I'm looking for solutions for a toddler seat attachment. So far I've not found anything so I came to this forum hoping to find some gurus with special pro tips and tricks. Thanks for everyone who participates in this forum, keeping the bikeE alive!

FX and CT. Ride the hard tail more-fast, light standard size.
The suspension bike is a gas, large size, comfy, fun off road. Trouble finding off road fronts for FX (any suggestions welcome) for heavier rider.
Love the bike e. Looking for a tandem.

I purchased a couple out of an old barn last summer. I like riding it around the neighborhood and am now in the process of fixing them up. Mine have no suspension but I am planning on riding on paved trails around Indianapolis.
